Lal Kitab Remedies for Rahu (North Node)
For sudden upheavals, addictions, foreign-related issues, or paranoid thinking.
Beej Mantra · 108 times daily
ॐ भ्रां भ्रीं भ्रौं सः राहवे नमः
Salutations to Rahu, the shadow that obscures — let me see clearly through your fog.
When Rahu (North Node) is weak, you may notice…
- ●Sudden, dramatic upheavals every few years
- ●Recurring addictions (substances, screens, food, sex, gambling)
- ●Visa, immigration, or foreign-property complications
- ●Paranoid or conspiratorial thought patterns
- ●Dreams of snakes, mazes, or being chased by something unseen
The Remedies
Pick 1-2 that fit your life. Do them weekly without missing for at least 3 months.
- 1
Bury a bronze item (a small bronze idol, coin, or vessel) near a well or in a corner of your garden.
- 2
Donate radish, lemon, and barley on Wednesdays. Radish in particular is Rahu's specific food.
- 3
Keep a small piece of silver under your tongue when you must speak important words. Silver moderates Rahu's distorting effect on speech.
- 4
Donate to people associated with Rahu — those in foreign service, leather workers, technology workers, marginalised communities.
- 5
Worship Saraswati or Goddess Durga — both are Rahu-pacifying deities. Recite Durga Saptashati on Wednesdays.
- 6
Take a daily 10-minute pause where you do absolutely nothing — no phone, no music, no thought intentionally engaged. Rahu thrives on overstimulation; the void calms him.
Donate
Mustard seeds, blue cloth, sesame seeds, radish, copper-coloured items (mixed with brass), to manual labourers or those serving abroad.
Avoid
- • Substance addictions including caffeine excess
- • Late-night screen use
- • Excessive social media (Rahu's modern habitat)
Auspicious colour
Smoky grey / iridescent / muted earth tones
Time to effect
Addictive patterns ease over 30-60 days. Foreign / visa issues require both worldly action AND remedy — usually 3-6 months. Paranoid thinking calms with the daily silence practice within weeks.
