This Refund and Cancellation Policy explains the terms under which VedHoroscope refunds payments and accepts cancellations. It is binding on all paid services purchased through www.vedhoroscope.com and the VedHoroscope mobile applications. By making a purchase, you accept the refund rules below in addition to our Terms of Service.

PDF reports are digital goods that are generated on demand based on the birth details you provide. We treat them as 'consumed' the moment the file is downloaded or first opened.

• Refund window: 7 calendar days from purchase, provided the report has not been downloaded or opened.
• Refund if generation fails: If our system fails to generate a valid PDF within 24 hours, we will issue a full refund automatically with no questions asked.
• Incorrect birth details: If you entered incorrect birth details, contact us within 24 hours of purchase. We can re-generate the report once at no extra charge — a refund is not possible because compute resources are already spent.

Live consultations are time-bound services delivered by independent astrologers. Once an astrologer has joined the session and provided guidance, the service is considered delivered — similar to a physical visit.

• Astrologer no-show: Full refund within 7 business days if the astrologer does not join the session within 10 minutes of the scheduled time.
• Technical failure on our end: Full refund if our platform prevents the session from happening (call drops we cannot recover, video freeze, payment-charged-but-session-blocked).
• Customer cancellation: Free cancellation up to 1 hour before the scheduled session. Within 1 hour: 50% refund. After session start: no refund.
• Quality of advice: We do not refund based on disagreement with a prediction or interpretation. Astrology is a guidance system, not a deterministic service — this is explained in our Disclaimer.
• Misconduct: If an astrologer behaves inappropriately during a session, contact us within 24 hours. After review, eligible cases receive a full refund and the astrologer is removed from the platform.

Puja bookings involve advance preparation by the pandit (samagri sourcing, sankalpa, scheduling). Cancellation cost depends on how close to the scheduled start time you cancel.

• More than 24 hours before: Full refund, processed within 7 business days.
• Within 24 hours of start: 50% refund. The remaining covers samagri already procured and the pandit's blocked time.
• After scheduled start time: No refund. The puja is treated as performed if the pandit was available and ready.
• Pandit cancellation: If the pandit cancels, you get a full refund OR the option to reschedule with another verified pandit at no extra cost.
• Live-stream / video puja: Same windows apply. We send a unique stream link 30 min before start; if you cannot attend, the recording remains available for 30 days but does not extend the refund window.

Wallet credits are a stored-value mechanism for paying for consultations and reports without re-entering payment details each time. They are governed by the Reserve Bank of India's Master Direction on Prepaid Payment Instruments (2021).

• Recharges are non-refundable once spent: Once you use wallet credit to pay for a consultation or report, those credits are gone — refunds for that service follow the rules for that service type, not the recharge.
• Unspent balance is always refundable: If you close your account or specifically request a wallet refund, your unspent balance is refunded to your original payment method within 14 business days. RBI rules require this — we cannot keep your unspent money.
• Recharge bonuses: Promotional bonus credit (e.g., '₹100 free on ₹500 recharge') is not refundable as cash. Bonus credit is forfeited on refund or account closure.
• Wallet expiry: Wallet credits do not expire while your account is active. Accounts inactive for 24+ months may be flagged; we'll email you 30 days before any action and you can keep the balance by logging in.

• Original payment method: Refunds always go back to the same card, UPI ID, or net-banking account you paid from. We cannot reroute refunds to a different account.
• Timeline: We submit the refund to our payment gateway (Cashfree) within 2 business days of approval. Banks then take 5–7 business days for cards, 1–3 for UPI, and 3–5 for net banking to credit your account.
• Confirmation email: You'll receive an email with the refund reference once we initiate it. If you don't see the credit after the timelines above, that reference is what your bank needs to trace it.
• Cross-border (NRI) refunds: International refunds can take an additional 7–10 business days depending on your card issuer and any currency conversion involved. The refunded INR amount may convert back to your card's currency at the prevailing exchange rate on the day of refund — we don't control this.
• Gateway / processing fees: Payment-gateway fees are absorbed by us on full refunds. On partial refunds, you receive the partial amount in full and we absorb the gateway fee on that portion.

1. Email refunds@vedhoroscope.com from the email address on your VedHoroscope account.
2. Include your order ID (format: RJ-XXXX or PJ-XXXX), the purchase date, and the reason for the refund.
3. We acknowledge within 24 hours and resolve eligible requests within 7 business days. Edge cases (multi-currency, gateway disputes) may take up to 14 business days.
4. If we cannot resolve your refund to your satisfaction, escalate to our Grievance Officer (see Terms of Service).

Please contact us before filing a chargeback with your bank. Most refund disputes are misunderstandings we can resolve in a single email. Chargebacks initiated without first contacting us — particularly for services already delivered (sessions attended, reports downloaded) — may be contested with the gateway and the customer may be deactivated from the platform. We always prefer a direct conversation over a chargeback fight.

We are not responsible for delays or non-delivery caused by events outside our reasonable control — including natural disasters, government actions, large-scale internet outages, payment-gateway failures, and pandemics. In such cases, we will reschedule services in good faith or issue refunds at our discretion. We will communicate clearly and quickly via email when these events affect your booking.

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Changes apply only to purchases made after the update. Existing bookings retain the refund rules in force on the day they were placed. The 'Last updated' date at the top of this page reflects the latest revision.
