About this puja

Griha Pravesh ("entering the home") is the sacred ceremony performed when entering a newly built or newly purchased home for the first time. The puja invokes Lord Ganesha to remove obstacles, Lakshmi for prosperity, and Vastu Purusha to bless the structure itself. Performed on a Vastu-approved muhurat. Includes Vastu shanti yagna, Kalash sthapana, and the symbolic boiling-over of milk in the new kitchen.

Preparation Guide

1Schedule on a Vastu-approved muhurat (use RashifalJi panchang).
2Do not move ANY furniture or belongings into the home before the puja begins.
3Have new clothes (saree / kurta) for the household head and spouse.
4Fresh fruits, sweets, and uncooked rice for the kalash.
5A new mud or copper kalash with a coconut + 5 mango leaves.
