South-East (Agneya)

Because the East is the sun's direction and Agneya kitchen + East-facing cook combines the morning sun's positive energy with the fire element's transformation. Food cooked under this alignment carries strong prana — it nourishes more deeply. Conversely, a cook facing North or West interrupts the natural alignment and makes the food less energetically supportive over time. This applies even when the kitchen itself is misaligned — the cook's facing direction is the single most controllable factor.

Possible with mitigations, but not ideal. Symptoms include irritability, marital friction, sleep disturbance, and overheating tendencies in occupants. Mitigations: cooler colour scheme (avoid red); place the bed away from the SE wall; ensure the bed's headboard points East or South (NEVER North); install a copper Vastu pyramid; keep the room well-ventilated. If marital friction develops, prioritise relocating the master bedroom to South-West (the ideal direction for it) at the next opportunity.

On the SE wall of the kitchen, with the cook facing East. The stove should not be placed adjacent to the sink (water + fire clash) — keep at least 3 feet between them, ideally with a separator. The stove should be visible from the kitchen entrance. Avoid placing the stove directly under a window (wind disturbs the flame's energy), under a beam, or back-to-back with the wall of a toilet/bathroom.
